Dear Becky
I am not happy. I walked out of my Job a few weeks ago and I really don't know what to do. I am also a Nurse like you but I don't know how the older Nurses do it. I went to school of Nursing but I read a lot and I know the common trends. I left my job because the doctors in the facility will never respect you. They send you to carry sphyg or do something a ward orderly would do and when you talk, they'll remind you that you are 'just a nurse'. I follow you on Facebook and some social media app. I want to know how you got this far and how I can overcome this challenge of 'see finish' thanks
My darling Nurse, the first step is to equip your self educationally. That you went to school of nursing shouldn't stop you! Further your education. Most times, doctors are humbled by your wealth of Knowledge. Most of my friends are doctors and we hardly have this issue. Even when I worked in the clinical setting, I never had this issue... Increase your knowledge bank, bring more to the table than just wearing the uniform, and also learn to pass your displeasure politely. The fight in the medical world between Nurses and Doctors is a big one, but with the right education and awareness, we will all come together as one.
In a nutshell, go back to school and do more schooling... The sky is your starting point- kisses
Nurses are rude and lack knowledge imagine one small nurse shaking as she wanted to give me injection mtchw let doctors keep dealing with you rubbish. So Becca is a Nurse? You different o my girl.
ReplyDeleteMy dear you are so right. Nurses have the worse attitude in the health care industry. Very annoying set of people. I noticed some of them are better though and when you converse with them, you'll know they a re probably well read and not the usual nurse koi koi type. All the same Becky good Advice but Nurses should work on their attitude
DeleteYou have the right to know your Nurse always find out if the person is a registered Nurse or a quack. Say no to Quackery
DeleteMy mum is a Nurse and she's not a bad one. People complaining about nurses attitude: Its not the profession, its the person. Have you been in a bank Queue, notice how some of the tellers talk to you. Do some of you realise that the health sector is in shambles hence the reason for the frustration? We have up to 50 bedded wards in a general hospital with just one Nurse to cater for the needs of these patients. The drs. Come in do ward rounds and that's it. Don't get me wrong, there are bad nurses, but please do not generalize it. Nurses and doctors relate when they have things to relate about. You don't expect a doctor to come to the level of an auxiliary trained nurse. The nurses who are well read, and turns out to be head of departments, have a good rapport with nurses. I hope I passed a message across? Sorry for the long epistle
ReplyDeleteWell explained. I think I need to educate the public on health care professionals. Thanks for this Kate❤❤❤
